The credentials document rebuilt from scratch

The CV is
a piece of paper.
Your work is live.

XQ Profile is a standardised, interactive credentials document. One link. Everything a recruiter or employer needs: contact details, qualifications, work history, and built-in proof. No attachment. No silence.

The CV rewards polish, not proof.
It is time to separate the two.

The curriculum vitae traces back to Leonardo da Vinci, who in 1482 sent a letter to the Duke of Milan cataloguing what he could build and design. The format made sense then. The people reading it understood the work being described, and the relationship between document and reader was direct. Five hundred years later, that relationship no longer holds.

The CV has drifted from record to performance. Fonts, keywords, layout rhythms that trigger applicant tracking software. A good presentation can outperform a decade of competence. The people who write the best CVs are often not the most capable candidates. They are the ones with the time, guidance, and vocabulary to package themselves correctly.

The tradesperson with fifteen years on site loses to the graduate with a polished layout. The school leaver who rebuilt an engine at the weekend has no recognised format to put it in. The recruiter's inbox fills with formatted noise, and the actual signal gets buried somewhere in the middle.

Then there is the AI problem. Most CVs submitted today were written or heavily edited by AI tools. Most are first screened by AI recruitment software. The document that was designed to represent a person has become machine-generated content filtered by machine logic, with the human barely present in the exchange. The format is no longer doing what it was built to do for either side of the process.

XQ Profile exists to replace it. Not a new app with the same underlying logic. A different format entirely. An open, interoperable standard for what a person has actually done, built on OpenFORMA, readable by any system, and owned by the individual rather than any platform.

Live, not static
One link. Always current. No version confusion, no outdated attachment doing the rounds.
Contact built in
Call, WhatsApp, email, add to contacts, save as PDF. All actions are part of the document itself.
Proof, not prose
Qualifications, reference numbers, expiry dates, employment history. Checkable facts, not curated descriptions.
Open standard
Built on OpenFORMA. No vendor lock-in. The individual holds the record, not the platform.

The first XQ Profiles are live for construction workers at credi.build. The format applies across every sector. Construction is the starting point.
